Henairy Diaz – HW March 1

My partner for this project is Alan. Our concept for the project is a book which shows or explains the lyrics of a song through images. We would use different images to illustrate what the lyrics are saying. It’s a 8 page book and we will only use one verse of the song. The song we are going to use is “Lucy in the sky with Diamonds” by The Beetles. We haven’t really talked about how the we are going to distribute the work, we will discuss it in class when we meet.

Guido Tamayo – HW March 1

Our group concept is to make an abstract booklet that will engage the viewer to think and guess, rather than read. We are going to provide images of everyday object, but in a different way. We will portray close-ups of these object, leaving the light tint of what the object my be. This will make you think and guess with what the object it, according to what is shown.

The layout will be simple and minimalistic. BW images with very little text, to say the least. At the end of the book, we will provide the answers but with a twist. Not just given away, we will make the viewer look for the answer. We find this a fun, visually-entertaining book that will keep you on your feet.

Each member is participating in getting images ready and helping in forming the final layout for the book. 5×6 with 12 full sized portrait images. This should be fun.

Quinique Dozier Homework March 1

My concept is to make a booklet that will be humorous towards my audience. It will show various interactions with different animals. Each set of animals containing two or more will have their own conversation in which it shall make the audience laugh or even wonder. I will use light colors for the backgrounds of the pages or even a certain setting.I would like to do a test print of this booklet to show to my client. After printing this book I would like to spiral bind it.

Homework for March 1

The most important thing for next week is to work on your group project. If you are able to get together with your group, that’s great. If not (and even if you can) you should take a few minutes at the end of class to assign all of the tasks that will be required to move forward with the project next week. Consider the two week timeline and map out the goals between each class session.

The second half of the homework for next week is to post a status update for your project. Talk about the concept of your project, and the design strategies that you’ll use to get the idea across. What was the process for coming up with this idea, and how do you plan to execute it? Include any reference images that will be helpful for defining the idea (your own images or images that inspire you). Also talk about the tasks and roles assigned to each member of the group.

Everyone should post an update individually, offering their own perspective on the project.
